Islam and World Religions

The new religious movements and new spiritualities are not the only religious alternatives found on the American landscape. The world religions, including Islam, Buddhism, and Hinduism, are making their presence felt throughout the United States.

The staff of Neighboring Faiths Project can present practical seminars for your church group that not only help you understand the beliefs and practices of these world religions, in summary form in general, or in more depth in seminars on each of the particular world religions. We can also provide suggestions regarding creative missions approaches that can be implemented by individuals, as well as the local church in missions ministry.

This presentation can be presented in a variety of formats to meet the needs of your church group.

Hosting a Seminar on World Religions

Our seminars can be presented in a variety of formats to meet the needs of your church.

Saturday options

• 3-hour program. This option involves a seminar on a Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to noon. A seminar donation given by participants of $29 for individuals and $55 for a couple includes a continental breakfast, and a seminar handout.

Wednesday evenings option

• Some churches have chosen to have us speak at Wednesday evening services. This option might be considered by churches near our offices in Virginia City, NV, or Salt Lake City, Utah, but travel costs would prohibit such a format for churches outside of these areas.

Sunday morning options

Our missionary staff can speak on the topic of the New Spirituality or Paganism within a sermon on Sunday morning, or to small groups in Bible study during Sunday school.

Other scheduling considerations

Churches can also choose to make a donation to this ministry in lieu of donations offered by seminar attendees. Churches will also be asked to assist Neighboring Faiths Project with travel expenses associated with presentations.

Contact our ministry for scheduling information.
